Wear blue for human trafficking awareness

Human Trafficking Awareness

WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - New York state is fourth in the nation for human trafficking. January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month.

Executive director Jill Parker says the Victims Assistance Center offers training to recognize and prevent human trafficking.

It's part of the Safe Harbor program.

Parker says today (Friday) is #wearblueday. If you or a group are wearing blue in honor of human trafficking awareness, just post it to the VAC’s Facebook page.
