Ogdensburg man faces assault, menacing, weapon charges

OGDENSBURG, N.Y. (WWNY) - A 31 year old Ogdensburg man faces assault and other charges following an incident involving a knife.

City police were called to 153 Belmont Courts shortly after 8 p.m. Sunday for a report of a stabbing.

Police said Seadon White of 1028 Ford Street tried to stab another man with a knife. According to police, the man suffered a cut to his hand as he kept White from stabbing him.

The unidentified man was treated at the hospital and released.

White was charged with second-degree assault, second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

He was arraigned in city court Monday morning and was released under probation supervision.

An order of protection was issued for the alleged victim.
