CANTON, N.Y. (WWNY) - Lawrence Robinson will learn Tuesday if he has to face trial on a sexual abuse charge that a jury deadlocked on a month ago.
A pretrial conference is scheduled for Tuesday morning in St. Lawrence County Court before Judge Derek Champagne.
The hearing for the 59 year old Robinson comes one month after a jury found him not guilty on a charge of rape and two charges of sexual abuse involving a teenage girl. But the jury could not reach a verdict on a charge of sexual abuse involving a younger teen girl.
The St. Lawrence County District Attorney’s office will tell the court Tuesday whether or not they want a second trial on the single sexual abuse charge.
