WASHINGTON, D.C. (WWNY) - From Watertown mayor to Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army

Joe Butler Jr. was officially sworn-in to that volunteer position Tuesday in Washington, D.C.

Butler will now be a resource to advise and support the Army secretary on issues affecting the north country.

Butler succeeds Anthony Keating, who held the position for 24 years.
