Quiet today, but snow’s on the way

WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - It's going to be a fairly quiet day, but that's going to change overnight into Thursday.

Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with highs in the upper 30s.

Snow showers start late tonight.

There's a winter storm warning for southeastern St. Lawrence County and for Franklin County from 11 p.m. tonight until 7 p.m. on Thursday.

There’s a winter weather advisory for the rest of St. Lawrence County for the same time period.

A winter weather advisory for Jefferson Lewis counties will e in effect from 10 p.m. Wednesday to 6 p.m. on Thursday

An advisory for Oswego County starts at 1 a.m. Thursday and lasts until 5 a.m. on Friday.

There will be blowing and drifting snow and accumulations from 3 to 5 inches for most places and from 6 to 10 inches where there’s a warning.

Highs on Thursday will be around 30.

It gets very cold on Friday, although it will be mostly sunny. Highs might not reach double digits.

More snow is expected over the weekend. It should start snowing Saturday afternoon with lake effect snow on Sunday.

Highs will be in the upper 20s on Saturday and in the low 30s on Sunday.

It will be mostly cloudy on Monday and Tuesday, with highs in the low double digits.
