Croghan man accused of sexually assaulting a child
LOWVILLE, N.Y. (WWNY) - A 23 year old Croghan man is being held without bail in the Lewis County jail for allegedly sexually assaulting a child.
A county grand jury indicted Alexander Jordan on a felony count of first-degree predatory sexual assault of a child.
Jordan pleaded not guilty during his arraignment in county court Wednesday.
According to the court, Jordan is accused of sexually abusing a child under the age of 11 between November 1, 2017 and December 6, 2019 in the town of Croghan.
Jordan is also accused of being a fugitive from justice from Indiana. State police picked him up on warrant on December 17.
His next court appearance is set for January 24.
