TV Dinner: crab dip - clipped version

WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - If you're hosting a football game-watching party, this dish would be a sure crowd pleaser.

Chef Chris Manning show us how to prepare Maryland Hot Crab Dip.

It's fairly easy to put together.

Maryland Hot Crab Dip

- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened

- 1/4 cup mayonnaise

- 1/4 cup sour cream

- 1/4 cup buttermilk

- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

- 1 teaspoon hot sauce

- Zest & juice of half a lemon

- 2 cloves garlic, mined

- 1 green onion, minced

- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

- Salt & pepper to taste

- 1 pound lump crab meat

- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

In a medium-size bowl, mix all ingredients except crab and cheddar cheese. Mix until smooth.

Gently fold in crab meat and transfer to a shallow one-quart baking dish.

Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Top with cheddar cheese and bake for 5 minutes more.

Serve with toasted pita, rye bread, crackers, or chips for dipping.
