WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for Jefferson, Lewis and Oswego counties.
The warning will be in effect between 1 p.m. Saturday and 1 a.m. Monday.
The NWS said heavy and blowing are snow expected, with total accumulations of 7 to 10 inches at lower elevations, and 12 to 18 inches on the Tug Hill plateau.
Winds gusting as high as 45 miles per hour will produce blowing and drifting snow.
The NWS said travel will be very difficult with poor visibility and deep snow cover on roads. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches and result in isolated power outages.
