WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - This weekend brought snow back to the north country, and better conditions for winter sports.
The folks at Dry Hill Ski Area in the Town of Watertown say bring on more snow.
“Oh, for snow? Oh yeah, let’s go back to the 2, 3 feet we used to get,” said Dean Chrissley, a Dry Hill Ski Instructor.
Chrissley loves the snow. So much so, he’s has been a ski instructor for more than a decade.
“If you’re going to live in the north country one of the things you ought to do is look for an outdoor activity,” said Chrissley.
And skiers on top of the mountain agree.
“It’s absolutely wonderful. I don’t think you can live in Upstate New York and not have an activity with snow that you can enjoy. And skiing here is definitely one of them,” said skier Stacey Landas.
While people at Dry Hill hit the slopes, people on the Tug Hill hit the trails.
Over in Barnes Corners, snowmobilers Nick Burnash and Owen Recore say the more snow the better.
“We will take all we can get,” said Burnash.
“It’s just pure adrenaline, especially going down the trails, other sleds coming. You obviously have to be cautious but it’s really fun,” said Recore.
And that fun should continue, when more snow comes this season.
