TOWN OF ELLISBURG, N.Y. (WWNY) - A boil water advisory, which had been in effect since Monday in part of the town of Ellisburg, has been lifted.

A water main break on State Route 289 has been repaired and the water has been deemed safe to drink.

The break prompted officials to issue the boil water advisory for the town’s water district 2, which includes roughly 75 households in the Belleville area.
