WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - In Mel’s Sports History, we go back to 1995 to meet Sean Casey.
Nicknamed “The Mayor”, Casey had an 11 year Major League career, batting .302 and making the All-Star game 3 times.
His professional career began with the Watertown Indians in 1995. That year he batted .329 with 2 homers and was a part of a New York / Penn League championship team.
He was also Mel’s Watertown Indian Player of the Week.
