MASSENA, N.Y. (WWNY) - The village of Massena has named its next police chief.

Jason Olson was appointed to the position at Tuesday night’s village board meeting held via a Zoom conference call.

Olson has served as lieutenant of Massena police since 2017. He was a senior investigator before that.

Olson will fill the shoes of outgoing Chief Adam Love.

Love is retiring at the end of this month after a 20-year career in law enforcement.
