ALBANY, N.Y. (WWNY) - It’s been four straight weeks since New York had a COVID-19 infection rate of 1 percent or higher.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo said that of the more than 93,000 tests reported to the state Thursday, .92 percent were positive.
That amounts to 864 additional cases statewide.
Five New Yorkers died from the illness Thursday and 428 were hospitalized because of it.
There were 116 people in intensive case and 61 were on ventilators.
