BEAVER FALLS, N.Y. (WWNY) - A worker for the Beaver River Central School District has tested positive for COVID-19.

Superintendent Todd Green told 7 News that it was fortunate Wednesday was a virtual learning day so staff members could give the school a deep cleaning.

It’s the first school case of the coronavirus in Lewis County.

Students return to in-person classes Thursday.

Contact tracing is underway.
