WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - Jefferson County reported six new cases of COVID-19 Friday, bringing the total of active cases in the county to 10.

County officials said contact tracing showed no connection among the six cases.

That brings to 270 the total number of cases in the county since the pandemic began in March.

There are 82 people now in mandatory quarantine, and 278 in precautionary quarantine.

In all, 21,755 tests have been given in Jefferson County.

In Lewis County, no new cases were reported Friday, with two active cases in the county, and a total of 67 since the pandemic began.

In all, 6,091 tests have been performed in the county.

Likewise, no new cases of COVID-19 were reported in St. Lawrence County Friday, with the total number of active cases remaining at seven.

The total number of cases in the county since the pandemic began in March is 326, with 315 people recovered. Four people have died.

In all, 62,495 tests have been given in the county.
