TOWN OF HERMON, N.Y. (WWNY) - An undercover operation has ended in the arrests of 2 town of Hermon residents who are accused of possessing and selling large amounts of methamphetamine.
The St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office arrested 35 year old Mark Tripp and 36 year old Kari Conant, both of 118 Main Street.
Tripp was charged with felony counts of third-degree unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine and second-degree attempted criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Conant was charged with possession with the intent to distribute controlled substances, a violation.
Officials said the arrests stemmed from an investigation of Conant and Tripp “possessing and selling large quantities” of meth.
Investigators raided their home and officials said they found approximately 470 grams of methamphetamine as well as components and lab equipment for making meth.
Mark Tripp was arraigned and sent to the county jail without bail.
Conant was initially held at the jail until Wednesday morning, when she was brought before a federal magistrate in Plattsburgh.
