HAMMOND, N.Y. (WWNY) - Hammond Central is dismissing in-person classes early Friday and will pivot to remote learning for all students until Tuesday.

That’s after a staff member tested positive for COVID-19.

Classes were dismissing at 12:30 p.m.

The switch to distance instruction, school officials say, will give St. Lawrence County Public Health time to conduct contact tracing.
