HAMMOND, N.Y. (WWNY) - The family of the man believed to have been killed in a fiery crash a week and a half ago are still waiting for his body to be released.

State police say they’re still awaiting results of a DNA test to positively identify the remains of the man they believe to be Dylan Paul Mumford-Turner.

His parents, Jason and Heather Turner, are waiting for the positive I.D. so they can claim his remains.

The crash happened on October 29 on State Route 12 in the town of Hammond. The pickup truck was ablaze when first responders arrived and the driver was trapped inside.

It took the Turners two days to drive to St. Lawrence County from their home in Georgia.
