WWNY Parents get ok to bring son’s remains home

HAMMOND, N.Y. (WWNY) - Dylan Mumford-Turner will be going home.

His parents, Jason and Heather Turner, told 7 News Tuesday that they have received permission to take their son’s cremated remains home to Arizona.

The Turners have been waiting a week on a state police DNA test to confirm their son was the man who died in an October 29 crash on Route 12 in the Town of Hammond. The Turners said they’ll be given the remains without the DNA test results.

His parents, drove to St. Lawrence County from Georgia to get his remains.

“I know there’s legalities and stuff but, we just want to bring him home and we finally got the answer we can," Jason Turner said Tuesday.

Saturday his mother told us Dylan was “the kindest, most gentle soul you’d ever meet.”
