WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - Watertown’s Flower Memorial Library has packed up everything but the turkey to give away to the community.
With some grant money, the library purchased popular Thanksgiving side dishes, like mashed potatoes and green beans, as well as utensils and some books to hand out.
The giveaway starts at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
“We want people to know that we are here for you. We want your bellies to be full ‘cause once your basic needs are met, then you can start having recreational and educational needs met,” said Suzie Renzi-Falge, children’s librarian.
The library will give out 100 bags. It’s first come, first serve.
