CANTON, N.Y. (WWNY) - Saturday, St. Lawrence County added 42 new COVID-19 cases. The total cases there now rises to 1,155.
8 are currently hospitalized and there are 573 individuals currently in quarantine.
The rest of St. Lawrence County’s metrics will be updated Monday, December 7th.
Jefferson County reports 59 new cases, their highest one-day total yet. The county’s total now rises to 1,014. 262 of those cases are active, 747 have recovered, and 5 have died from the virus.
6 people are currently hospitalized.
1,397 are in mandatory quarantine with another 517 in precautionary quarantine due to travel. 493 of those are domestic travelers and 24 traveled internationally.

Lewis County reports 11 new cases, their total rises to 396. 92 of those are active, 300 have recovered, 4 have died due to the virus.
Currently 11 are hospitalized and 10 results are pending.
429 are in quarantine, another 92 people are in isolation.
Officials ask you to pay attention to how you are feeling and monitor any symptoms you may have. They also say that COVID-19 symptoms can take 2 - 14 days to appear after exposure and include:
- Fever or chills
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Muscle or body aches
- New loss of taste or smell
- Sore throat
- Congestion or runny nose
- Nausea or vomiting
