WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - An 80-year tradition lives on at one Watertown church.
The annual Greek pastry and sweet bread sale is taking place at Saint Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church Friday and Saturday.
The process of selling this year is different because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“This has probably been the most challenging time for us, but we have maintained standards and we have even limited the number of workers to maintain social distancing,” said Samuel Thomas, president of the parish council.
The sale continues Friday until 6 p.m. and resumes Saturday at 10 a.m. and goes until the pastries are sold out.
Masks are required and social distancing will be enforced.
