FORT DRUM, N.Y. (WWNY) - COVID-19 vaccines will be arriving on Fort Drum in the coming days and given out in phases.

Medical Department Activity Commander Rob Heath took to Facebook to tell people that Fort Drum will be receiving the Pfizer vaccine and will follow the Department of Defense and CDC guidelines for giving the shots in tiers.

First in line are frontline workers, first responders, and medical workers.

Then it will be available to any soldiers deploying in the next 3 months, and later high-risk populations, and then the general population.

The Fort Drum MEDDAC appointment line is 315-772-2778.
