Tri-county region sees 1 new COVID death, 250 new cases
WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - One new COVID-19 death and another 250 positive cases were reported Thursday in the tri-county region.
A 15th Jefferson County resident has died from COVID-19.
The county also reported 77 new cases Thursday.
Twenty-six people are hospitalized; 587 people are in mandatory isolation and 1,050 are in mandatory quarantine.
Since the pandemic began, 15 people have died from COVID and the county has seen 2,723 positive cases.
The county says 2,087 cases have recovered from the coronavirus.
St. Lawrence County
St. Lawrence County Public Health said Thursday that 148 more people have tested positive for COVID, bringing the total number of confirmed positive cases to date to 2,985.
Officials said 866 cases are active and 22 people are hospitalized.
To date, the coronavirus has claimed the lives of 48 people in the county.
According to the county, 2,071 cases have been released from isolation.
Lewis County reported 25 new cases of COVID-19 Thursday.
The county has had a total of 1,008 cases since the pandemic began.
The county Public Health Agency said Thursday that 17 people are hospitalized and 208 are in isolation.
Another 498 people are under quarantine.
Since the pandemic began, 787 people have recovered from the coronavirus.
COVID has claimed a total of 13 lives in the county.
