WWNY What will become of call center furniture when YMCA moves into building?

WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - As things move along with the YMCA’s new aquatics center moving into the former call center building in downtown Watertown, where will all the office furniture in the building go?

The Jefferson County Industrial Development Agency has approved its lease with the YMCA for the space and the Y will keep some of the call center furniture.

But the rest has to go.

“We let the Y tag some stuff they want to keep over there, some of the furniture, but we have had a couple other not-for-profits and even 2 calls from businesses that may be interested in some of those work station panels or some of the other file drawers that are there and desk and chairs,” said David Zembiec, CEO, JCIDA.

Zembiec thinks churches and schools might find use of the furniture, too.
