WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) -Jefferson County reports 43 new COVID-19 cases and 1 new death due to the virus. Those totals climb to 2,999 and 18 respectively.

707 of those cases are active and 2,274 have recovered.

Currently, 30 are being hospitalized with another 7 in assisted living.

670 are in mandatory isolation with another 1,117 in mandatory quarantine. Another 881 are in precautionary quarantine due to travel. 858 of those are domestic travelers and 23 traveled internationally.

So far, 44,077 tests have been administered in Jefferson County, 41,078 of those have come back negative.

St. Lawrence County reports there were 82 new cases reported Sunday, bringing the total cases to 3,223.

There are currently 24 hospitalizations.

The remaining metrics as well as the maps will be updated on Monday, January 11th.

Lewis County reports 5 new cases, the total there climbs to 1,074.

217 of those cases are active, 842 have recovered and 15 have passed due to the virus.

20 are currently hospitalized.

There are 217 in isolation with another 604 in quarantine.

23,138 tests have been performed so far, 22,064 of those tests came back negative.

Officials ask you to pay attention to how you are feeling and monitor any symptoms you may have. They also say that COVID-19 symptoms can take 2 - 14 days to appear after exposure and include:

  • Fever or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea
