CANTON, N.Y. (WWNY) - One new COVID-19 death and another 180 positive cases were reported Monday in the tri-county region.

St. Lawrence County Public Health said Monday that 49 people have died from COVID-19 - that’s 1 new death since public health’s last report last Friday.
Officials also said 74 more people have tested positive for the coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed positive cases to date to 3,297.
Officials said 906 cases are active and 22 people are hospitalized.
According to the county, 2,342 cases have been released from isolation.
There were 80 new cases to report in Jefferson County Monday.
Thirty-one people are hospitalized; 677 people are in mandatory isolation and 1,024 are in mandatory quarantine.
Since the pandemic began, 18 people have died from COVID and the county has seen 3,079 positive cases.
The county says 2,346 cases have recovered from the coronavirus.
Lewis County reported 26 new cases Monday.
The county has had a total of 1,100 cases since the pandemic began.
The county Public Health Agency said Monday that 21 people are hospitalized and 233 are in isolation.
Another 522 people are under quarantine.
Since the pandemic began, 15 people have died from COVID, while 852 people have recovered from the coronavirus.
