AKWESASNE (WWNY) – Saint Regis Mohawk tribal officials are reporting a spike in positive COVID-19 cases that put them over a milestone of sorts.

There were eight new cases reported Monday, which put the number of cases over 100 since the pandemic began.

The total, officials say, is now 103.

That makes 12 active cases for the tribe with 45 people in isolation or quarantine.

Officials remind the community to stay vigilant and to follow all safety protocols.
