WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - A Watertown woman faces an assault charge after she allegedly stabbed a man, which sent him to the emergency room for treatment

Watertown police say 34-year-old Marilyn St. Laurent allegedly assaulted 30-year-old Jeremy Love with a knife during an argument at their home on 176 Duffy Street Monday afternoon.

Love was taken to Samaritan Medical Center, where he was treated for multiple cuts. Police say he remains in the emergency room.

St. Laurent was charged with second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

She was arraigned by video and released on her own recognizance. An order of protection was issued.
