Morning Checkup: vaccine confusion
WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - There’s a great deal of confusion surrounding COVID-19 vaccinations and the folks at Samaritan Medical Center want to clear some of that up.
Karen Abare is Samaritan’s director of infection prevention and Leslie DiStefano is director of communication and public relations.
Watch the video for their interview during Samaritan’s Morning Checkup segment on 7 News This Morning.
They gave us an overview of who’s eligible for a shot. But even if you’re eligible, they say it’s important to be patient and not expect to be vaccinated right away.
It’s expected to take about 14 weeks to vaccinate everyone who’s eligible right now.
You can find out if you’re eligible and, if you are, schedule an appointment at covid19vaccine.health.ny.gov.
