GOUVERNEUR, N.Y. (WWNY) - Michael J. Butterfield Jr. did not have a good day.
According to a statement from the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, Butterfield, a Gouverneur man, was stopped while driving Thursday on Grove Street in Gouverneur.
Deputies charged him with aggravated unlicensed operation, 3rd degree; failure to keep right, improper left turn and failure to comply.
That was just for starters.
Deputies say they found Butterfield had more than 10 grams of methamphetamine; several envelopes of Fentanyl; and multiple Oxycodone pills. They then charged him with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, 2nd Degree; two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, 7th Degree; Criminal Possession of a Weapon, 4th Degree; Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia.
Butterfield was brought to court - virtually - where the judge ordered him held in the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility until his next court date,
