GOUVERNEUR, N.Y. (WWNY) - A Gouverneur man is accused of possessing quantities of three different drugs when St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies pulled him over Thursday.
Deputies say when they pulled over Michael Butterfield Jr. on Grove Street in Gouverneur, he allegedly had 10 grams of meth, several glassine envelopes of fentanyl, and several Oxycodone pills.
He was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and criminal use of drug paraphernalia.
Butterfield was also charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, failure to keep right, improper left turn, and failure to comply.
He was arraigned virtually in Piercefield town court and held in county jail pending his next court date.
