LOWVILLE, N.Y. (WWNY) - Calling all moms-to-be! Lewis County Health System is now offering virtual birthing classes.

Brittany Salmon is a registered nurse with Lewis County Health System, and teaches the virtual classes.

After a year, Salmon is back teaching mothers over the internet.

The first class was with Charity Nortz in February. Nortz gave birth to her son last month.

“I would recommend it to anyone, whether it’s your first baby, second baby, third baby,” Nortz said. “I honestly think there’s so much you can learn from it.”

“We want to teach them what to expect when they’re in labor, prior to labor, and during. What to expect after they have the baby. Really, anything from A to Z,” Salmon said.

The class is completely free, and you can sign up by calling the hospital’s maternity department. The class is open to everyone, not just Lewis County residents.
