Woman accused of stealing from nonprofit employer

CANTON, N.Y. (WWNY) - An Ogdensburg woman is accused of stealing thousands of dollars from a nonprofit she was working for.

The St. Lawrence County district attorney’s office says 35-year-old Brooke Binion-Evans is accused of stealing $4,099 from the North Country Housing Council in Canton.

She was charged with third-degree grand larceny and second-degree possession of a forged instrument, both felonies.

Binion-Evans was arraigned on the charges on March 3.
