BELLEVILLE, N.Y. (WWNY) - Alice M. Lont, Belleville, passed away Sunday, April 25 at Samaritan Medical Center. She was 96 years old.
There are no services planned at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a date and time yet to be determined.
Born in Rodman March 09, 1925, Alice was a daughter to Bruce and Verna (Berry) Stevens. She was educated locally. Alice dedicated her life to helping on the family farm and raising her children and grandchildren.
A marriage to Richard O. Lont ended upon his passing December 10, 2004.
Alice was a member of the 200 Club for several years. She wrote in her journal every evening, and enjoyed puzzles, dancing, chatting with visitors, and spending time with her family. She always had her hair done, her nails painted, and loved watching birds from her window.
Alice is survived by her children, Susan and Dennis Farrell of Clayton, Jim and Tammy Hughes of Arizona, Polly and Daniel Harberer of North Carolina, Sharon and Mike Crumbley of Alabama, Daniel Leone of Alexandria Bay, Dawn and Wayne Zehr of Mannsville, Sandy and Harold Gregory of Belleville, Brenda Davis of Bronx, and Rhonda Lont of Belleville. She is also survived by a daughter in-law, Barbara Stevens of Ogdensburg, 22 grandchildren, 70 great grandchildren, 48 great-great grandchildren, 19 great great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, Richard, she is predeceased by two sons, Dale Lont and Francis Stevens, 5 siblings, Beatrice Davis, Edna Wager, Rosalyn Patchen, Raymond Stevens, Kenneth Stevens, and 3 great grandchildren, Cheyenne Davis, Benson Tessier, and Myles Tessier.
