UNIVERSITY CENTER, Michigan (WWNY) - It looks as if Dr. Ty Stone will be staying at Jefferson Community College a while longer.

Stone had applied for the job as president of Delta College in University Center, Michigan, so she could be closer to family in Ohio.

On Wednesday, college officials announced they selected Dr. Michael Gavin, who is currently a vice president at Anne Arundel Community College in Arnold, Maryland.

He, Stone, and Reva Curry, a vice president at Delta, were the three finalists.

Stone took over as JCC president in July of 2017.
