Glendon H. “Joe” Adams, 79, native of Massena

MASSENA, New York (WWNY) - Glendon H. “Joe” Adams passed away on June 9, 2021 at Massena Rehab and Nursing Center. Thank you to all for his care while there.

Joe was born in Massena, NY on February 26, 1942 to Glen “Shorty” and Muriel (Martin) Adams. He was a graduated of Massena Central and an avid baseball player growing up. Upon graduating her entered the W.S. Air Force and then worked for Niagara Mohawk from which he retired.

He was a member of the NRA, Massena Rod & Gun Club, American Legion and past president of the VFW Men’s Auxiliary, but his most pride came from his being past Commander of the Amvets Post #4 and being a part of the Amvets Rifle Squad. He enjoyed all of his comrades at the post and everyone he came in contact with.

He was predeceased by a son, Craig W. Adams, a brother, Kenneth J. Adams and his nephew Jeremy Adams. He is survived by his daughter Tracey Adams and Mike Gomes, granddaughters Tommie Jo Villnave, Hailey Adams and Danielle Adams, His niece, Tara (Adams) Caron and sister in-law Beverly Tomlinson Adams.

There will be no calling hours or funeral services. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Massena. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Amvets Post #4 and Rifle Squad, Massena Humane Society or American Cancer Society. Online condolences and memories may be shared with the family at
