Massena man charged with murder

MASSENA, New York (WWNY) - A 38-year-old Massena man has been charged with murder in connection with a death in the village Tuesday morning.

Village police arrested Robert Carr on counts of:

second-degree murder
first-degree assault
tampering with evidence

He was arraigned and ordered held without bail in the St. Lawrence County Jail.

Police said they were called to 9 Tracy Street at 6:46 a.m. Tuesday and found the body of a man lying in the front yard.

A woman at the scene sent pictures (shown below) to 7 News showing police with their guns drawn outside the house as well as police leading Carr away in handcuffs.
