A fire started in the chimney and spread to a wall at a single-family home on the towns of Rutland and Champion border Monday night.
The call at the County Route 163 home came in around 7 p.m.
No one was hurt.
A number of emergency crews were on scene to knock the fire down.
Neighbors say the woman who lives there was able to get out of the home. She had a number of cats. It's unclear if all of them made it out safely.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
