Snow is on the way back to northern New York Wednesday. Think afternoon and evening, not morning.
The National Weather Service has called a winter storm watch for Jefferson and Lewis counties from Wednesday afternoon through Friday evening. 6-12 inches of snow are possible, with the Tug Hill likely to see the worst of it.
St. Lawrence County is under a winter weather advisory from Wednesday afternoon through Thursday evening, where 3-6 inches of snow could fall.
As always, travel could become difficult, and visibility limited.
St. Lawrence County's courts are closed Wednesday, in anticipation of the weather. That means no county court, family court, supreme court or surrogate's court.
