They're making progress repairing road washouts in Parishville.
A sudden thunderstorm wreaked havoc on roads in the town, including the north end of Cook Road on Saturday.
“We've had literally hundreds of people coming to look at it, yes. More traffic on this road than it usually sees and it's supposed to be closed,” said Steve Hart, Parishville highway superintendent.
By Wednesday, the road was filled in and town crews installed a larger culvert.
A hundred loads of stone, donated by town councilman Conrad Cook, were used to fill in the washouts.
The road should be open by Thursday.
