Adams Annual Cheddar Cheese Festival

Adams Annual Cheddar Cheese Festival

Downtown Adams made way for hundreds at this year's annual Cheddar Cheese Festival, which is presented by the Adams Revitalization Committee.

"So I haven't had too much wine yet," said Watertown resident, Marilynn Klawiter.

Adults sampled wine and kids kept hydrated at the 9th Annual Cheddar Cheese Festival held in Adams Saturday.

"It's really good to come to a place like this because you can try the different kinds, I like the sweets, and it's great," stated Klawiter.

She certainly wasn't the only one taking advantage of what the festival had to offer.

Adams Reserve was handing out free bits of the festival's namesake. And while some were preoccupied with extra sharp cheddar, a young Adams resident found satisfaction in a green squid hat and a duck whistle.

And most everyone's pallet was satisfied, even a few reluctant Southerners.

"We found some curd which we never tried cheese curds before and I was afraid, but they are actually really good. The food's wonderful, the arts and crafts is great and I like the wine, the wine is absolutely wonderful," said Kay Reynolds, a South Carolina resident.

A festival, what better way to pair cheese and wine.
