Morristown - Randy E. Martin, 67, formerly of Richville, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2018.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 16th from 10 am to 11:30 am with a funeral service to follow at 11:30 am at the Green Funeral Home, Gouverneur with Fr. Shane Lynch, pastor of St. James Catholic Church officiating and burial in New St. James Cemetery, Gouverneur.

Randy was born in Freeville, NY on March 24, 1951, the son of Larry and Ruth Gay Martin.

He graduated from Gouverneur High School in 1969 and attended college at the Maritime Academy, Oswego, and Canton.

Randy married Karen Ann Cole on August 23, 1971 at St. James Catholic Church, Gouverneur.

The couple took over the family farm on the Bilow Road near Richville, and they raised their family there.

Randy enjoyed the outdoors, whether it was working the land with his tractor, duck hunting with his retrievers, or deer hunting on the farm. More recently, the couple moved onto the river in Morristown where he enjoyed his boat and fishing, especially with his youngest fishing partners, Anna and Maddie.

Randy is survived by his wife Karen, his mother Ruth of Jordan, his three children Kimberly and Jim Black and two grandchildren Anna and Madeline Black of Charlton, Massachusetts, Patrick Martin of Gouverneur, and Brian Martin and his wife, Courtney Blazon, of Missoula, Montana. He is also survived by four sisters Sue Ann Martin of Jordan, Carolyn Green of Syracuse, Judy Norton of Waddington and FL, Maria Martin of Massena, several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father Larry, 3 brothers Wayne, Gregory, and Donnie Martin, 3 sisters Kathleen Norman, Verlee Crosby, and Darlene Hartman.

Memorial donations in Randy's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
