The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has reached a final settlement with a Canton company in the wake of an employee's death.
Atlantic Testing Laboratories originally faced more than $46,000 in fines in the death of a Potsdam man earlier this year.
According to an OSHA spokesperson Thursday, the fine was amended to a little more than $37,000.
The spokesperson said Atlantic Testing has corrected the problems that led to 33 year old Justin Miller's death and has agreed to hire a safety consultant.
The company also agreed to train employees on how to use tire-changing equipment properly.
Miller died in March when a tire he was changing blew off a rim.
