4 Arrested In Heroin BustPosted: Updated:
The St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 4 people for allegedly possessing heroin.
The office's Drug Task Force raided a home Monday night at 2700 State Highway 37 in the Town of Morristown.
Members arrested 31 year old Jerry Yerdon and 35 year old Bridget Spriggs, who live there.
They were each charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a hypodermic instrument. They allegedly possessed 22 glassine packets of heroin and several needles.
Officials also arrested were 22 year old Chynna Simon-Hess and 19 year old Sofia Bonaventura, both from New Jersey, for third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. They allegedly possessed 210 glassine packets of heroin and more than $10,000 in cash.
Both Spriggs and Yerdon were issued appearance tickets to answer the charges in Town of Morristown Court at a later date.
Simon-Hess and Bonaventura were ordered held in the county jail in lieu of $10,000 bail or $20,000 bond.
The arrests stem from an investigation that was conducted by members of Drug Task Force that included officials from the Sheriff’s Office, Ogdensburg City Police Department, US Border Patrol, and Gouverneur Village Police Department.
