A West Virginia man was charged with felony DWI after he was allegedly driving a lawnmower drunk on a rural St. Lawrence County road.
State police say they were called to Garrison Road in the town of Pitcairn to investigate a report of someone driving a lawnmower while intoxicated.
Troopers say they found 37 year old James Deamer of West Hines, West Virginia swerving in and out of the road on a John Deere riding lawnmower.
Police say Deamer refused a breath test and had previous drunk driving convictions.
He was ticketed for felony driving while intoxicated and refusing to take a breath test. He was also charged with unregistered motor vehicle, operating without insurance, and unlicensed operator.
Deamer was arraigned in Pitcairn town court and released under probation supervision.
