Continuing with the revitalization in downtown Watertown, a building on Court Street has received a facelift.
Crews finished fixing up the facade of 114 Court Street this week. The building is the first of six that will get a facelift thanks to a $250,000 program through the Watertown Local Development Corporation.
Crews are now working next door on the building that houses Sweet Bean Cafe.
“With all of the activity going on right now with new businesses coming in, it's just part of the revitalization effort to keep that going,” said Don Rutherford, chief executive officer of the WLDC.
Rutherford says the WLDC hopes to have the majority of the facades completed by the end of this year.
