Eight months after the Friendly's restaurant in Watertown abruptly shut its doors, the building is being razed.
On Monday, crews started bringing down and digging out the inside of the Arsenal Street building before removing the bricks. The demolition could take a few days.
Once the building is gone, there are plans to build 3,500 to 3,800 square foot urgent care facility there.
Friendly's operated at that location for 40 years.
