Radiothon Raises Money For Children's Miracle Network

Posted: Updated:

It's the biggest fundraiser of the year for an organization that helps local kids as they battle medical conditions.

This week, The Border 106.7 and 94 Rock are hosting the 18th Annual Radiothon for the Children's Miracle Network.

Through Friday evening, the radio stations are sharing stories of kids helped by CMN, while asking listeners to make donations.

CMN says not only does the three day event help the organization raise money to purchase pediatric equipment for Samaritan Medical Center and assist families with expenses, it also raises awareness about what they do.

"Many times when the families share their story, there's someone else out there who may be going through the same thing and they hear it and think, wow, CMN may be able to help me, too. So typically after the radiothon, I get several phone calls and that's how we continue to help kids and families," said Kristin LaClair, CMN development manager.

To donate, call 315-755-KIDS or text borderkids to 51555. The organization hopes to raise $106,000 this year.
