SUNY Canton has a brand new eSports arena on campus.
SUNY Chancellor Kristina Johnson visited the arena Tuesday and helped out in a ceremonial ribbon cutting.
The state of the art gaming equipment allows students to practice and compete in college varsity competitions.
Students from all different majors are part of the different teams.
"A lot of colleges are very skeptical in putting time and effort into E-sports, but being here at SUNY Canton and having a room like this, it's wonderful. I love it here," said Emily Oeser, E-sport athlete.
SUNY Canton is the only SUNY school with a varsity eSports team.
